This template is intended to be used similarly to {{Flickrreview}}, but for files not coming from Flickr. However, because we have currently no automated procedure for reviewing licenses from external sites, it is a bit simpler.

The template automatically sets the following categories:

• License review needed (when used without parameters to request review)
• Files from external sources with reviewed licenses (when successfully reviewed by an administrator or trusted license reviewer)
• Possibly unfree license images (incorrect usage)

Template parameters

Parameter	Description		Default	Status
site	Link to the file description page at the external site, e.g. ipernity. Should only be set by administrators and reviewers. If there is a vertical bar "|" sign, please use <nowiki>|</nowiki> or &#124; (character entity) instead of {{!}}.		empty	required
user	Reviewer's user name (don't use ~~~). Should only be set by administrators and reviewers.		empty	required
date	Review date (use YYYY-MM-DD). Should only be set by administrators and reviewers.		empty	required
custom_text	Leave blank in the vast majority of cases. {{LicenseReview}} is primarily used when the external site confirms that the file is available under the stated license. In all other cases, administrators and reviewers may write a custom message describing what they found at the external site, such as evidence that the file is the uploader's own work.		empty	optional

Localization

This template is localized through {{Autotranslate}}. The layout of the template can be found under Template:LicenseReview/layout.

To add your language to the list of languages supported by this template, please copy the code of Template:LicenseReview/en (or any other language version you prefer to translate) and replace the text strings in there (the form below can be used to create a translation, the English version is preloaded in the edit box). Please change the parameter lang from en (or whatever language you are translating) to the language code of your language.
